I have to admit, the first time I heard of Rain Chains, I had no clue what they were. However, after talking with some female relatives, they quickly educated me on some of the major benefits of using them.

Rain Chinas are a very nice addition to any house; they can be very soothing to listen to, and watch as water drains down from rain gutters when it is raining. They can make your house look more beautiful. And, for the environmentally conscious, they can be used to transport water into rain barrels, which you can then later use to water your garden.

They were about 9 feet long, and I think would make a nice addition to any contemporary and traditional homes. The website also features a wide assortment of different rainchains, which I think you could have a lot of fun browsing, and looking at all the different designs. A number of them would be a very nice complement to a garden in the front our backyard, not to mention the fact that it can help 'drought' proof your garden, as you can easily irrigate it with the rainchains.
