Gum Eez-Thru Mint Flossers (Link)
First off, before I get started, let me say
that I thought the "Gum Eez-Thru Mint Flossers" were incredibly cool! I've
never seen anything like that before, and always flossed the 'traditional' way.
Everyone I've shown them to has wanted to take a couple for themselves. If you've ever had difficulty flossing (which, I know sometimes can be very annoying),
then these are incredibly useful. With regular floss, you would normally have to tie some floss around your fingers (maybe even cut off circulation and make your fingers
go purple), and sometimes it was difficult to reach certain parts of your mouth. With the 'flossers', they are incredibly easy to use. You
simply fit it in your mouth, in difficult to reach areas, and floss! You can
also use the other end to get difficult pieces of food (like popcorn, meat,
etc), out of your teeth. At only $3 for a package, this is a bargain!
Gum Soft Picks: (Link)
Gum Soft picks are also another really cool and
unique product. They are tiny little picks that can get in those hard to
reach places after you've eaten food that has gotten stuck in your teeth. I
personally found them a little nicer than toothpicks, simply because with
toothpicks you can jab yourself, but these were soft plastic, so it is unlikely you'll hurt
yourself. Definitely worth checking out!
Gum Dual Action Tongue Cleaner: (Link)
I have to admit, that until I received this
prize package, I never really took a close look at dental related products. The
most I normally looked at, was toothbrushes and dental floss. However, taking a
look at this tongue cleaner, I can definitely say it is another innovative
product. There have been times where I've eaten some food, and my tongue looked a
little "blah". Now, although it might seem a little strange the idea of
cleaning your tongue, it actually can make quite a difference (especially if you
are on a date and want to kiss someone!). After using this, your mouth will look a heck of a lot cleaner afterwards. And it'll feel good
too!
Gum Toothbrush (Link)
I personally have to say I do like their
toothbrushes, and I definitely did like this one. I know it might sound funny to
say that a toothbrush can make a difference, but it does. This one had a good
grip, so it just 'felt' good while brushing my teeth. As well, the bristles
were not too hard. It's actually funny, I was talking with a dentist a few weeks
ago, and they actually recommended using soft bristles, simply because hard
bristles over time can potentially harm your teeth. Soft bristles help to remove
the food from your teeth, while helping to protect the enamel. Definitely another
very cool product.
Gum Dolphin 250 Advanced Flosser (Link)
This was a rather interesting and neat product.
Essentially it is a type of product for someone who needs 'flossing' on the go.
It is a compact device that easily fits into a purse or briefcase, and can be
used in a washroom to make sure you have a clean smile before making an
important business presentation. My only concern about this product would be
how to 'replace' the floss, as I couldn't quite figure that out. I wasn't sure
if there was a way, whether you are supposed to 'wash' it after
using it, or just simply replace it once finished. However, it is definitely very convenient for someone on the go. It also comes with a sanitary cap to cover it
once you've finished using it.
Gum PerioBalance (Link)
I would say this product would be quite useful.
Nowadays, unfortunately a lot of people don't have the time to eat the best
food, or take too much medication, which can create an imbalance in your system.
This product is designed to help "restore" that balance with the
probiotics contained in it. I did try it, it has a very minty flavor which I
like. My only concern with this product (for the truly 'health' conscious) -- is
the fact that it was made with hydrogenated palm oil. (Within the health
industry there has been a lot of concern for using things that contain
hydrogenated oil). (And if you are very health conscious, it also does use
sucralose and sucrose esters as sugar substitutes). Other than those two items,
I do believe this would be a useful product for good oral health care. In fact,
one of my relatives wanted to use this when she saw it! :)
Conclusions:
Overall, I was very impressed with this
prize package. I really didn't expect that I could say that of a dental package,
but I was. The products were innovative, useful, and some of them just simply
really cool. I would rate this package 4.5/5.0! Three lucky winners will be able to win a prize package like
