This is a Power AirFryer Oven 8 Quart Review, including both PROs and CONs of the 8 quart version (here is the 6 quart size review). We have zero affiliation with Power AirFryer, this is NOT a sponsored post and we do NOT earn any commission from them.
Power AirFryer Oven 8 Quart Review
We previously reviewed the Power AirFryer Oven 6 Quart version…and it seems that some of my gripes of that product was fixed in the 8 quart version.
What is a Power Air Fryer Oven?
You've probably seen it on late night television. The Power AirFryer Oven is a healthier way to enjoy some of your favorite fried foods with little to no cooking oil. The Power Air Fryer Oven adds more functionality, including rotisserie and dehydrator.
My review of the Power AirFryer Oven - 8 Quart
I won't go over all of the features of the appliance, refer to my previous review of the 6 quart version to see how well the rotisserie skewers work.
I love the MASSIVE 8 quart size. Next to it, my Philips Air Fryer that we bought years ago seems so miniscule. The Power Air Fryer Oven can cook much more food and can even fit a 4 pound chicken for rotisserie.
The rollie poly basket holds much more food (plus it rotates to cook food more evenly. This probably cooks 4x more food than my Philips.
A convenient basket tool allows you to insert and remove the rollie poly basket with ease (and without burning yourself).
Stronger wire trays
The trays are more sturdy, and they are deeper, making it easier to hold food. The indentations that hold in the trays are stronger than the 6 quart version. I think this is by far my favorite upgrade. Previously, in the 6 quart version, the trays were difficult to slide in and out of the appliance.
Will it Rotisserie 4 Pound Chicken?
The Power Air Fryer Oven 6 quart appliance claims to be able to rotisserie a very small chicken, but I found it too small to fit even a 3.5 pound bird. Plus it's difficult to find birds that small at the market. Will the larger 8 Quart oven hold a 4 pound bird?
I stuffed the cavity with lemon and garlic halves, and used FoodLoop Silicone Trussing Set - one of my favorite $10 purchases of the year!
The orange lace has a thick pointy metal end that allows you to "sew" the chicken cavity closed, securely. The garlic and lemon do NOT fall out during cooking, even during rotating in a rotisserie.
But will it fit???
Nope. Not like this. The thigh and wing are touching the bottom of the tray (and will probably touch the heating element at the top).
Time for chicken bondage.
That's better. Everything is tied up nice and tight.
Perfect rotisserie chicken.
All of the other features that I like about the Power AirFryer Oven 6 quart are still there - the removable drip tray, the removable glass door and ease of use.
The larger size is more expensive….$40 more than the 6 quart size. If you like cooking rotisserie chicken, or plan to use the air fryer as part of your weekly cooking routines, this larger size is worth the money, especially because of the sturdier, deeper trays and easier tray inserting.
